are BACH's monthly support meetings held?
BACH normally holds it's monthly
support meetings at the First Baptist Church in Boerne. However, we
sometimes move our meetings to different member's homes for a more cozy
atmosphere. We also meet in restaurants from time to time, so be sure and
contact someone before attending your first meeting to make sure you find us.
WHEN are BACH's monthly meetings
held?
BACH normally meets on the first
Thursday evening of the month at 7:00 pm. Our meetings typically last
about 2 hours. However, our meetings are occasionally moved to a different
night due to holidays and special events, so be sure and contact someone before

Our BACH Support and Business
Meeting only meets once a month. However, we also meet on the third
Thursday evening of a month for a "Mom's Night Out". We meet at various
restaurants in the Boerne Area. These meetings are fun and informal and a
great way to get to know other homeschooling moms in a more relaxed atmosphere.
Does BACH offer
anything other than support meetings?
BACH is so much more than just support meetings! The club offers classes,
field trips, bible studies, socials, productions, graduations, friendships and
so much more.
Where can I go for homeschool
legal help?
Home School Legal Defense Association is
a non-profit advocacy organization established to defend and advance the
constitutional right of parents to direct the education of their children and to
protect family freedoms. Through annual memberships, HSLDA is tens of thousands
of families united in service together, providing a strong voice when and where
needed.
Texas Homeschool Coalition
Join THSC
Association and get benefits and discounts potentially worth $100s of dollars
while you support the organization which is your advocate for home school
freedoms in Texas!
Does
Homeschooling adversely affect the socialization of a child?
No, studies have shown that homeschooled children are
better socialized in real-world settings. A class full of 30 ten year olds is
not a natural setting in real life. Experiments have shown that a room full of
different aged homeshooled children all play along nicely. Public schooled
children of the same ages grouped themselves by age and didn't socialize much
with others outside their age group.
